:+: Heal The World :+: - In Memoriam Michael Jackson (1958-2009)

For a few posts I will be posting several lyrics from Michael Jackson, who passed away yesterday. My sympathy go out to his family, and all the people who remained his fans, despite many cases and controversies he's involved in. I will start my series of post with "Heal the World", my favorite song from all his works, and one song that once moved me to tears, and the song that make me a fan of him, back when I was still a child many years ago. 

For a 10 year old child, listening to this song was really moving. Somehow, I can feel Jacko's wish for a better world, and somehow, it makes me believe that we, humans can make a better world by being kind to each other, and world peace is attainable somehow. As I grow up, I got interested in wars, and so I learned about wars, the effects they have on human psyche, like battle fatigue, Post-traumatic stress disorders, and a lot of things. As I learned more and more about it, I gradually lost my interest in the military and wars, and somehow I wished more for peace as this song suggests. The last time I listened to this song in my character building class in college, I almost cried. Somehow, this song is still as touching to me as it was 11 years ago. And, it made me believe in peace, it made me wished for peace, it made me feel at peace. 

Such is the effect of this song. A powerful effect that no song has ever done to me before. And that's the reason why I pick this song as my "Favorite song of all time". 

So, enjoy the song. And, when you're listening to it, remember the creator, not for his misbehavings and eccentricities, but for his genius in music. The world, and me, mourns his passing, but he might be in a better place now.

Weaving word after word
On this little piece of paper
Never know what I'm gonna be
Later in my future
